On Thursday a truck driven by a School Board member, Mr. Heffernan, went to Calexico with a huge load of shampoo, detergent, food items, toothpaste, school supplies, games and puzzles, and new and used shoes. These will be distributed to three shelters in Mexicale, especially one where there are 184 women and children. This will make a huge difference in their lives. You were the hands and heart of Jesus to them!
The dates for First Reconciliation and First Communion have been announced. First Reconciliation will take place on October 14th. First Holy Communion will take place on October 17th at 10:30 am
Saint Anne School will be collecting the following items for the Mexicali Refugee Center where 184 women and children have been living for the last 7-8 months. At the present they are desperately in need of: gently worn shoes/socks; detergent; shampoo, hand lotion; puzzles for children; coloring books/crayons. We will have the collection on Monday and Tuesday, the last week of September. Thank you for your support of our brothers and sisters in great need.
On September 22nd, we welcome our 7th and 8th grade students. Although parents have the option of Distance Learning, the majority of our students are back at school each day. We are excited to now have all grade levels back in school after 7 months.
On September 8th, Saint Anne School officially reopened for students in Grades Preschool to Grade Six. Students are required to wear a face mask, all desks have a desk shield and are separated from each other by between 4 and 6 feet. There are hand washing stations outside and hand sanitizer by classroom doors. We thank all of our parents and board members who worked tirelessly to get our doors reopened for another wonderful year!
